The event is a first-time collaboration by the Rochester Art Center, Listos Preschool and Childcare, the Alliance of Chicanos Hispanics and Latin Americans (ACHLA), and several Mayo Clinic departments and groups, including Mayo Clinic's Bereavement Advisory Committee, the Somos Latinos Mayo Employee Resource Group and the Dolores Jean Lavins Center for Humanities in Medicine.

" Ascend’s Mental Health Survey of API professionals found that overall, APIs reported mental health was worse than Americans’ mental health as a whole, with 39% of APIs reporting fair to poor mental health compared to 25% of the general American population."
