Dear Community Focus Team members,
Our next meeting is Monday, August 21, 6pm at the Edison Board Room. In preparation for that meeting, the interim planning committee asks that you (1) review the attached presentation (CFT_Org_V4.pdf) on five “structural models” to consider (2) be prepared to share your perspectives on pros/cons of each model for CFT and (3) be prepared to cast a vote on a structural model to move us forward. We plan to review this briefly and then spend only part of the meeting processing and coming to decision. Your attention to this in advance will be helpful to keep us moving.

May 23, 2017 Community Focus Team Meeting Notes
May Introduction
Greetings, Community Focus Team,
I am a member of the school board’s “Community Engagement Team,” and I am reaching out on behalf of Deborah, Don, and Jean, to ask for your help in setting the agenda for the May 23 Community Focus Team meeting.
We have identified three processes we think are critical early in the “reset” agreed upon at the April 18 school board meeting:
- Clarifying the shared value of the group (purpose, type of committee, work it will do, relationship to board and administration)
- Identifying and selecting a team of leaders to move the work forward
- Assessing the current environment to inform our priorities
We hope you will join us in fleshing out the plan for May 23 and sharing your skills in hosting that discussion. Three dates are emerging for possible lunch-time meetings. If you are interested, please send your availability back to me by this Wednesday, so we can finalize the date.
- Monday, May 8, 12-1pm, Northrop
- Tuesday, May 9, 12-1pm, Northrop
- Wednesday, May 10, 12-1pm, Northrop
Note: If you are interested, but not available, please send your input on the items above and other priorities for May 23.
Thank you,
Amy
