Dear Director Marvin and Director Seelinger –

The CFT Data Subgroup would like to submit recommendations for the structure and content of the next discipline data presentation to the School Board, scheduled (as we understand it) for the second meeting in June.

The attachments provide full details on our request (the first attachment is your guide to the others).

  1. Discipline Data CFT Overview Suggestions June 2018
  2. Discipline Data CFT Charts 2018
  3. Discipline Data CFT Tables 2018
  4. Discipline Data CFT Slides 2018
  5. Discipline Data CFT Presentation History June 2018
  6. CFT Request for School Board Support Discipline Data Presentation

Printed copies of the request will be dropped off to each of you this afternoon, with a copy for the Superintendent. We did not include Director Barlow on this email, as we did not know if he had returned to work. Feel free to forward to him when it is appropriate.

In addition, we have provided links to two documents that we have found helpful in furthering our understanding of the use of data in addressing discipline disparities:

https://ies.ed.gov/pubsearch/pubsinfo.asp?pubid=REL2017240

Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to working with you on this request.
